Norfolk Salute to Agriculture - Oct 2017: Midwest Peterbilt Group celebrated agriculture in a series of sponsored Elevator Tailgaters in Nebraska during October. Representatives from Peterbilt of Norfolk helped hand out lunch to truck drivers in Enola, Battle Creek and Norfolk, and shared harvest news and winter-prep truck trips during live radio segments on US92.
Sioux City Customer Appreciation - Sept 2017: Peterbilt of Sioux City celebrated the 11th anniversary in their new facility with a Customer Appreciation Open House on Sept. 11. Throngs of people visited the Peterbilt booth and signed up for drawings, as well as stopped by the 20 plus vendor booths. At two seminars, visitors learned about the regulations surrounding the Dec. 18 deadline for electronic logs; and a free lunch was hosted in the Service Department.
Truck Driver Appreciation Day - Sept 2017: Peterbilt of Sioux City helped Great West Casualty celebrate Truck Driver Appreciation Day on Sept. 7 in the parking lot at Sam’s Club. Truckers and other guests enjoyed a free lunch, Frisbee-tossing and giveaways at the annual event. Health screenings also were offered at the Peterbilt booth by Kathy Hart of UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s.
IA-NE Classic Truck Show & NTA Working Truck Show - Aug 2017: Overcast skies and intermittent rain showers couldn’t deter the hundreds of truckers and industry enthusiasts who turned out Aug. 5 to view the best in classic and working trucks at Sapp Bros. in Omaha.
Touch A Truck & Train - June 2017: Nearly 1,000 children and adults attended the "Touch a Truck & Train" event on Saturday, June 17, at the Sioux City Railroad Museum. The youngsters enjoyed climbing onto the rigs, honking the horns, learning about trucks and exploring the old railroad yard equipment. Peterbilt of Sioux City staff exhibited a new longhood and hosted a Trucker Trivia Game during the fundraiser for enhancing the historic railyard.
American Truck Historical Society - May 2017: The American Truck Historical Society’s (ATHS) annual national convention and truck show were held May 25-27 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. DIESEL CAREERS… April 2017: Peterbilt of Sioux City staff recently visited local high schools to talk about career opportunities. During a Career Fair at South Sioux City High School, diesel tech Bryan Klemmensen and Peterbilt trainer Jerry Hesse discussed career opportunities, including truck driver and diesel mechanic. Meanwhile, Service Manager Harland Gylfe and Diesel Tech Andy Sexton drove a new Pete to the Sioux City Public Schools' automotive/vocational training center, where students learned about high-tech truck and job opportunities.
Peterbilt Innovation & Class Tour - October 2016: A crowd of nearly 200 attended the Technology Tour event at the Peterbilt of Lincoln dealership on Friday, Oct. 7. Peterbilt customers, fleets and diesel technology class students enjoyed learning about new Peterbilt technologies through a truck cab simulator and other interactive exhibits inside the tech trailer. Inside the truck inspection bays, Midwest Peterbilt Group Service Managers presented a Glider Kit Demo.
Heritage Model 567 - September 2016: Brand-new Heritage Model 567. The first 20 of these vocational workhorses with special logos, accent trim and features, began rolling off the Peterbilt assembly line in late September. Peterbilt of Lincoln Grand Opening - June 2016: A crowd of nearly 500 attended the Grand Opening Celebration. Peterbilt customers, fleets, O/Os and the entire Trucking Community helped Midwest Peterbilt Group celebrate the completion of its newest full-service facility along I-80 in Lincoln, Neb. Under a big top tent, a group of truck parts vendors chatted with attendees. Visitors enjoyed tours of the new facility, which included a large retail parts showroom, warehouse and 19 service bays.
